Live classical music concerts to celebrate Municipal House reopening
23.5.2020 — Prague Symphony Orchestra, also known as 'FOK', for 'Film-Opera-Koncert', is preparing the event 'Roušky se odkládají, salónky ožívají' ('Masks are put aside, halls are coming to life') in cooperation with the Municipal House. The event will make the reopening of the Municipal House a unique experience on the 25th of May from 6pm to 8pm. Halls that are usually accessible to the general public only on special occasions and with paid guided tours will come to life with free, short multi-genre concerts by Prague Symphony Orchestra's members.

20.1.2020 — Prague City Gallery hosts an exhibition of Richard Janeček's work entitled: 'I Think in an Ideal World, it Would Have Ended Very Differently'. The exhibition, which is a part of the gallery's 'Start Up' series dedicated to young artists, can be seen in Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace until the 2nd of February 2020.
Autumn colours in Prague Botanical Garden
23.10.2020 — Prague Botanical Garden was of the few places not affected by the government's Covid-19 restrictions, but unfortunately it had to close today. Hopefully, it will reopen soon so that visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful autumn colours! The garden is truly magical in the autumn. Those who think that all flowers have already bloomed are mistaken. For example, the Ornamental Garden is still full of colour these days.

8.10.2007 — Právě dnes začal v Mnichově tradiční a zároveň nejvýznamnější středoevropský veletrh realit a investičních příležitostí Expo Real 2007. Potrvá tři dny a Praha se na něm již popáté prezentuje vlastním výstavním stánkem. Pořadatelé letos nabízejí v šesti výstavních halách plochu 63 000 metrů čtverečních, na kterých se představí 1 800 vystavovatelů ze 45 zemí.

Procedures for homeless people this winter
30.11.2019 — Actions to help homeless people survive the freezing weather are starting to take place in Prague this winter. Unlike in previous years, the city is allowing people with dogs to stay warm at night, whereas they were previously refused in dormitories. There are also more facilities available for those with health issues. The municipal police are taking part in the winter measures along with the social services.
Lavender field in Prague Botanical Garden – a ‘Czech Provence’
15.8.2020 — There are not many people who would resist the beauty of lavender. Prague Botanical Garden grows a great number of this medicinal plant species in its outdoor exhibition, including whole lavender field which makes you feel like you are in the beautiful region of Provence. Lavender grows primarily is the western Mediterranean, and the lavender fields in the southeast of France are a great tourist attraction.

5.7.2020 — Food Truck Park is a street food event which takes place every Sunday until the end of October at the Prague Exhibition Grounds. A variety of gastronomic specialties from all over the world will be on offer. You will find it near the children's playground on the newly renovated 'Bruselská Cesta' ('Brussels Road').

25.4.2020 — The National Museum in Prague is working on a restoration of its largest collection item, the blue whale skeleton. Visitors will soon be able to see it online.
Prague celebrates the return of culture
18.8.2020 — "In April, together with GoOut, we sold tickets to non-existent shows in order to help to keep our culture alive. And because the time when almost NOTHING cultural happened is, hopefully, behind us, now Prague can experience SOMETHING in the last weekend of September. As an expression of gratitude to supporters and fans, cultural organisations all over Prague are preparing special events and programmes. It will be a celebration of the return and revival of culture and I look forward to seeing theatres and clubs full of fans soon," Hana Třeštíková, Prague Councillor for Culture and Tourism, said.
