Czech Nature Photo Exhibition displays the best wildlife photography
23.5.2020 — You have the opportunity to admire award-winning and selected photos from the Czech Nature Photo 2020 competition until the 28th of June. The Czech Nature Photo 2020 exhibition, which exhibits the best nature images by photographers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, takes place in the Czech Photo Centre, 4 Seydlerova Street, Prague 5 - Nové Butovice.
New tags for the trees in Stromovka
20.9.2020 — There are 203 species of deciduous and 44 species of coniferous trees in Stromovka in Prague, making the former game reserve one of the richest in tree species diversity in the Czech Republic. Many trees in Stromovka now have new labels as part of the project 'Trees you want to know'. 134 nameplates were installed on 94 tree species in the central part of the Royal Game Reserve. Therefore, visitors to Stromovka can now learn about a total of 18 species of oak, for example. One of the white oaks growing in the park is even the oldest of its species in the Czech Republic.

Prague hosts unique photography festival
9.10.2020 — Fotograf Festival, which takes place in Prague until the 18th of October, is a festival of photography, which explores the relationship between contemporary art and photography. A series of exhibitions and film screenings in several locations in Prague will be organised, as well as lectures, debates with artists and performances. The motto of this year's festival is 'Uneven Ground'. Come to explore the unknown, the unexpected, the other. In eight connected exhibitions, organisers offer various perspectives, creating and examining connections between artists from different generations and places, as well as between photographers and their models or objects. In doing so, they connect not only one person with another, but also the known with the unknown.
Juniorští hokejisté v Rezidenci primátora
14.4.2009 — Náměstek primátora Rudolf Blažek dnes odpoledne slavnostně přijal úspěšné mladé hokejisty HC Hvězda Praha v Rezidenci primátora. Hokejový klub HC Hvězda Praha je zaměřen na práci s mládeží a hraje soutěže s hráči v kategoriích od první do deváté třídy, dorost a junioři. Letošní nejúspěšnější turnaj hráčů HC Hvězda Praha byl turnaj v Norsku s názvem Birkebeiner Cup U13, kde se junioři umístili na 1. místě.

Special Prague Symphony Orchestra concert in the Municipal House
15.6.2020 — Prague Symphony Orchestra, also known as FOK, which stands for Film Opera Koncert, will hold a special concert in the Municipal House's Smetana Hall. The concert will be the orchestra's first after the coronavirus break and will take place at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, the 23rd of June. The orchestra will be directed by Pietari Inkinen. Sibelius' tone poem 'Finlandia' Op. 26 and Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 in E minor Op. 95 'From the New World' will be on the evening's programme. This is will Inkinen's final concert as chief conductor of FOK, with his typical combination of Finnish and Czech music.
