20.9.2020 — There are 203 species of deciduous and 44 species of coniferous trees in Stromovka in Prague, making the former game reserve one of the richest in tree species diversity in the Czech Republic. Many trees in Stromovka now have new labels as part of the project 'Trees you want to know'. 134 nameplates were installed on 94 tree species in the central part of the Royal Game Reserve. Therefore, visitors to Stromovka can now learn about a total of 18 species of oak, for example. One of the white oaks growing in the park is even the oldest of its species in the Czech Republic.

8.3.2019 — On Saturday, the 9th of March 2019, the reconstruction of the tram line on Vinohradská Avenue will begin on the stretch from Škrétova Street to Sudoměřská Street. The expected completion date is the 12th of July 2019. Trams will not operate in the I. P. Pavlova - Muzeum - Flora section, and buses will provide alternative routes. Road traffic will only be maintained in the direction from the city centre from Legerova Street to Jiřího z Poděbrad Square. In the next part of Vinohradská Avenue, as well as in the direction to the city centre, the following diversions and alternative routes are proposed:

8.11.2018 — Hlavní město Praha připravilo v rámci letošních oslav mobilní aplikaci Prague Histories. Tento interaktivní průvodce provede Pražany i turisty po tematických stezkách mapujících známé i neznámé milníky 100 let historie Prahy. Na zastávkách uživatelé objeví historické fotografie a další zajímavosti. Některé snímky jsou doplněny zvukovými záznamy rozhlasových vysílání, dobovými videi a u novějších a výkonnějších zařízení také 3D objekty.

6.5.2022 — 77. ročník mezinárodního hudebního festivalu Pražské jaro začne tradičně 12. května ve Smetanově síni Obecního domu Mou vlastí Bedřicha Smetany, tentokrát v provedení West-Eastern Divan Orchestra s dirigentem Thomasem Guggeisem.

30.8.2019 — At night on the 31st of August and the 1st of September, dozens of historical buildings will take part in the Night of Castles and Chateaux. This annual event began in 2010, and it presents historical monuments in an unconventional light and with an interesting programme.

On the 15th of August 1947, British rule in India ceased and the nation became independent. You can commemorate this event on the 15th of August on Střelecký Island in Prague.
