10.12.2019 — The Botanical Garden's greenhouse in the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague offers you a unique opportunity to discover the history of Christmas in all its glory. You can go back to our ancestors' times to see how they decorated their Christmas trees and how they made nativity scenes. You will also be able to create your own Christmas ornaments and decorations in the workshop.

18.9.2020 — The National Gallery Prague hosts temporary graphic exhibitions in the Fair Trade Palace. One of them is an exhibition of a collection of drawings and prints by Karel Myslbek entitled 'The Silent Drama of Human Poverty', which takes place until the 8th of November. The National Gallery has rich and wide-ranging collection of graphics and drawings from various periods and styles. However, artworks on paper cannot be exhibited for a long time, so drawings and graphics are regularly presented in short-term exhibitions. The current exhibit in the Graphic Cabinet introduces the world of the gloomy but interesting Czech painter, Karel Myslbek.

17.7.2020 — Prague City Gallery comes back to life with exhibitions, various programmes and other events. Yet another interesting exhibition will take place in one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings, Troja Château. The 'Stone Treasures from Prague Gardens' exhibition will be open to visitors until the 1st of November.

21.5.2020 — The space near the Great Strahov Stadium is being put to good use, with a brand-new drive-in cinema. With a capacity of 120 cars, it is the largest drive-in cinema in Prague. Apart from film screenings, various cultural events will also take place here during the summer.

28.4.2020 — The 29th of April has been the International Dance Day since 1982. The traditional meeting of dancers and dance fans usually takes place on Střelecký Island, where the event has a wide fan base. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's annual competition will be broadcast online from several locations in Prague. Nevertheless, the event will still connect the Czech dance scene with the public.

28.8.2020 — Karlínské Square will be full of children on the 30th of August for the family festival that will take place there, offering children's attractions, good food and cultural activities. As part of the Karlín Family Festival, farmers will offer their products in stalls, children can take part in workshops and the whole family can enjoy musical performances. The Karlín Family Festival is a simple and ideal way to conclude summer in Prague.

31.10.2019 — Prague's integrated public transport system will soon undergo several changes. The development of the D metro line and new tram lines, large-capacity, convenient and comfortable transport, remains a priority. As regards bus lines, the city of Prague is preparing to adjust timetables in response to occupancy issues, especially in the quiet months of January and February, in order to make bus transport more effective.

1.6.2010 — Praha ožije fotbalovým létem. Přenosy z fotbalového mistrovství světa v Jihoafrické republice mohou Pražané a návštěvníci metropole sledovat na Staroměstském náměstí od 11. června do 11. července 2010.

3.12.2012 — Dnes byly slavnostně zahájeny rozsvícením vánočního stromečku za účasti náměstka primátora Pavla Richtera a starosty městské části Praha 1 Oldřicha Lomeckého již druhé Václavské Vánoce. Podtitulem letošní akce jsou Vánoční trhy pro Pražany. Díky podpoře primátora Bohuslava Svobody, společností PRE a ELTODO, se letos rozsvítí horní část Václavského náměstí a to nejen tradičním vánočním stromečkem, ale i krásnou sváteční světelnou výzdobou stromů, které lemují náměstí.

22.12.2017 — V prázdninovém termínu 5. - 8. července 2018 se na Výstavišti v Praze – Holešovicích uskuteční oslava narozenin kultovní značky motocyklů Harley Davidson. Velkolepě pojatá akce bude zároveň spojena s devadesátým výročím založení Harley-Davidson Club Praha, prvním klubem příznivců Harley Davidson na světě. Pořadatel akce v těchto dnech požádal hlavního město Prahu o finanční podporu.
