29.6.2020 — Střelecký Island ('Střelecký ostrov' or simply 'Střelák' to the locals) in the heart of Prague not only offers scenic views of Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, and romantic walks in the shade of mature trees, but has also become a place for free outdoor public dancing in recent years. Many dance programmes and workshops take place on a pontoon that has been anchored to the island for several years, offering an additional stage and dance floor. Dancing is a pleasant social activity, as well as a manifestation of emotions. It is an art form, which brings the pleasure of moving to music to everyone, both spectators and dancers, whether they dance alone, in pairs or in groups.

30.7.2019 — From the end of September, a campaign is taking place in the streets of Prague that will focus on the rules and regulations tourists need to follow in the Czech capital. The campaign is organised by Prague City Tourism in cooperation with the Night Mayor Jan Štern. It will focus on the behaviour of tourists in the most problematic parts of the town. Next year, it will be followed up by a long-term campaign that will specifically target tourists, thanks to the results of the STEM / MARK agency's survey on the behaviour of tourists in Prague at night.

31.8.2020 — This year, the Open House Prague urban architecture festival will take place on the weekend of the 5th and 6th September. A total of 73 architecturally interesting buildings and spaces will be open free of admission to the public.

29.2.2020 — Prague Conservatory invites you to an incredible musical experience on the 2nd of March, when you will get the chance to enjoy the composer Camille Saint-Saëns's works in their representative hall. Students of the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) organised the concert. They formed the orchestra and they will present three instrumental compositions by the French master.

23.7.2005 — Průběh cvičení Voda 2005 dnes v noci kontroloval primátor Prahy Pavel Bém. Cvičení začalo v pátek v 19,30 a od 21 hodin stavělo více než 500 lidí v zátopových oblastech Prahy všechny dosud vybudované prvky protipovodňové ochrany města na obou březích Vltavy. Do léta roku 2006 investuje hlavní město Praha do protipovodňových opatření přes 2 mld. Kč a s výjimkou Zbraslavi, Radotína, Chuchle a Troje bude letos dokončena celá protipovodňová ochrana Prahy. Cvičení zároveň detailně prověřuje fungování a součinnost všech složek krizového managementu naší metropole.

19.3.2024 — Hlavní město navazuje na úspěšnou adventní sbírku potravin, která se pravidelně koná koncem roku, a letos poprvé uspořádá také Primátorskou velikonoční sbírku potravin. Představitelé hlavního města a zaměstnanci Magistrátu hl. m. Prahy, ale také široká veřejnost, firmy, městské společnosti, velvyslanectví a další instituce se tak budou moci zapojit do pomoci lidem v nouzi. Akce se uskuteční v den jednání Zastupitelstva hl. m. Prahy, ve čtvrtek 21. března, od 9:00 do 17:00 hodin na Mariánském náměstí před budovou Nové radnice.

10.12.2021 — Vzhledem k pokračující pandemii koronaviru se i v letošním předvánočním čase hlavní město rozhodlo navázat na loňský rok a potěšit děti a seniory dárky v období adventu. Tento týden rozvezl pražský magistrát dárky dětem a seniorům do nemocnic, zdravotnických a sociálních zařízení i domovů pro seniory. Celkem takto obdarovalo město ve spolupráci s městskými organizacemi potřebné téměř 23 tisíci předměty ve 26 různých zařízeních.
