New cycling paths in Prague

23.9.2019 — Prague councillors have agreed to support the financing of the project preparation and partial creation of new routes for cyclists and pedestrians in northeast Prague. Districts 14, 18, 19, and 20, as well as Čakovice, Satalice and Vinoř, will plan to connect existing cycle paths by slightly adjusting field roads and third-class roads to create a unified and efficient network.

Aerobiological monitoring of air in Prague

21.6.2007 — The Prague Pollen Monitoring Station of the Czech Pollen Information Service was put into operation in March 1993. The graphs presented demonstrate concentrations of the most significant airborne pollen allergens in Prague air during the last six years.

The project Ledová Praha invites children to engage with heritage centres in Prague

24.1.2019 — On Friday, the 1st of February 2019, schoolchildren in the Czech Republic will enjoy a school break. As in previous years, children will participate in project Ledová Praha by visiting monuments, museums and other centres of heritage in Prague. Over the long weekend from the 1st to the 3rd of February, families and groups of children will collect their Ledová karta, a free card that grants free or reduced admission to many museums and galleries in Prague, (such as the National Museum, the Jewish Museum in Prague and the Czech Police Museum) and other places of interest (for example, Prague Castle, Strahov Library and Loreta Praha). This year, about thirty historical and cultural centres of heritage are taking part.

Young Egyptian vultures head from Prague Zoo to Bulgaria

31.8.2020 — Prague Zoo has been working to protect endangered Egyptian vultures in Bulgaria for a long time. Experts placed two young birds into two wild vultures' nests in the Eastern Rhodopes a few days ago as part of this programme.

7.1.2010 — Prague Contact Centre (also called Prague City Hall Information Line) has been set up for Prague citizens to facilitate their communication with Prague City Hall, individual city districts and organizations.

Tour Prague on a culture tram

15.6.2020 — A special 'culture tram' has begun touring Prague city. From the outside, the tram serves as a moving decoration for the streets of Prague, where it will ride through all year round; inside, it promotes various cultural events taking place in Prague. From time to time, events will also take place on the tram, which will be used as a mobile stage for concerts and theatre performances, or simply as a reading place. "Cultural life is finally slowly awakening after coronavirus. I am pleased that we can arrange cultural activities in this innovative way for the people of Prague too", Hana Třeštíková, Prague City Councillor for Culture and Tourism, said.

Rada hl. m. Prahy schválila finanční výpomoc na rekonstrukci radnice Prahy 10

7.9.2020 — Pražští radní na svém dnešním zasedání schválili finanční výpomoc městské části Praha 10. Ta žádá o bezúročnou půjčku ve výši 500 milionů korun na rekonstrukci radnice, která je v dlouhodobě neudržitelném stavu. O poskytnutí výpomoci bude ještě rozhodovat Zastupitelstvo hlavního města Prahy.

Praha vyhradí pro příští rok 44 milionů korun na projekty ke zlepšení stavu životního prostředí

27.10.2022 — Pražští radní schválili vyhlášení programu na podporu projektů ke zlepšení stavu životního prostředí pro rok 2023. Lidé, spolky a další organizace budou moci žádat o prostředky na projekty v celkem sedmi kategoriích, které se týkají například klimatické změny, podpory adaptace na změnu klimatu, veřejné zeleně nebo výukových a vzdělávacích projektů.
