8.5.2019 — On Saturday, the 11th of May, Prague Castle will officially open the summer tourist season. The seat of the Czech heads of state is on this day open to visitors completely for free. Apart from the opening of the summer season, the 100th anniversary of the Office of the President of the Republic will also be celebrated.

25.2.2020 — A brand-new film festival is coming to Prague. The first annual independent Indian film festival, 'INDIE-INDIA', will take place in the Pilotů Cinema on the 28th and 29th of February.

16.2.2020 — The City of Prague Museum has prepared a traditional carnival at Ctěnice Chateau on the 16th of February. As usual, besides feasting, you can enjoy a varied programme that will attract and delight all age groups.

11.11.2008 — Pražští radní, kteří v polovině září schválili vytvoření jednotné vizuální prezentace hl. m. Prahy na letišti Praha-Ruzyně, dnes souhlasili s pořadím vítězů vzešlých z výběrového řízení na vytvoření grafických návrhů. První tři místa jsou dotována finanční odměnou 200, 50 a 30 tisíc korun.

2.9.2024 — Zákonem č. 201/2012 Sb., o ochraně ovzduší, účinným od 1.9.2012, byla zavedena povinnost pro orgány ochrany ovzduší aktivně zpřístupňovat veřejnosti informace o podaných žádostech o závazná stanoviska a povolení provozu a o závazných stanoviscích a povoleních provozu vydaných na základě těchto žádostí. Průběžně aktualizovaný seznam žádostí evidovaných Odborem ochrany prostředí Magistrátu hlavního města Prahy.

10.2.2019 — The exhibition of the famous American filmmaker, cinematographer and artist Arthur Jafa can now be seen at the Galerie Rudolfinum. It is his first exhibition in the Czech Republic. Arthur Jafa creates images of African-American identity and culture through a broad spectrum of contemporary footage and found images. The exhibition's title, 'A Series of Utterly Improbable, Yet Extraordinary Renditions', refers to the feeling of emptiness that characterizes black life, according to Jafa.

29.5.2019 — The 21st international festival, "Prague Heart of Nations 2019", is the largest joint event for minorities in the Czech Republic, bringing a wealth of traditions from nations around the world. From the 30th of May to the 3rd of June, the festival will symbolically take place in the heart of Europe - the historical centre of Prague. Since 1999, musicians, singers and dancers have come to the Czech capital to perform traditional folk art from their native countries. This year, Prague will welcome a wide range of artists once again.

1.3.2019 — There will be traditional carnival fun in Žižkov on the 2nd, 3rd and 5th of March. The 26th annual Žižkovský 'Masopust' carnival has a varied entertaining programme every year that will surely please all ages.

13.11.2008 — Mezinárodní konference Energy Eficiency Business Week je jednou z nejvýznamnějších událostí v oblasti efektivního využívání energie v regionu střední a východní Evropy. Letošní 11. ročník nese název „Efektivnost – zdroj energie budoucnosti“ a zaměřuje se na komplexní řešení problematiky snižování energetické náročností – od úrovně globální, národní, až po jednotlivé organizace, společnosti a domácnosti. Konference se koná ve dnech 12. – 14.11.2008 v prostorách Kaiserštějnského paláce v Praze. Jejím organizátorem je SEVEn, Středisko pro efektivní využívání energie.

1.2.2019 — Over the course of the year, The City of Prague Museum is preparing a total of six exhibitions. These exhibitions will show Prague past, with interesting historical crafts, as well as present-day Prague, with photographs by a well-known photographer. The museum has permanent displays, such as the archaeological collection in the main building, which is the museum's biggest collection and mostly comes from the museum's archaeological research. Collections of applied art are also valuable, including a high-quality collection of graphics. The most valuable part of this collection is the vedute, which are views of Prague, including its squares, individual street, important buildings, emerging suburbs and natural surroundings outside the city's baroque fortifications. Visitors can also admire these views in Langweil's model of Prague, which contains more than 2,000 buildings on a 1:480 scale, with all the fine details of facades, courtyards, gardens and farm outhouses belonging to buildings. In the case of many demolished historical buildings, Langweil's model of Prague is the only physical record of their appearance.
