Město přispěje na pořádání sportovních akcí
17.7.2012 — Hlavní město uvolní 600 tisíc Kč na partnerství Prahy při pořádání sportovních akcí konaných v roce 2012, rozhodli o tom na dnešním jednání pražští radní. Město vyhovělo žádosti pro šest projektů, kdy podpoří pestrou škálu sportovních podniků.

Lower part of Wenceslas Square to be revitalised
23.11.2019 — In the spring of 2020, revitalization works on the lower part of Wenceslas Square will commence. Residents of Prague as well as visitors to the Czech capital can look forward to a brand new modern public space. A venue for cultural events, new boulevards and walkways are just part of the planned work on the square. Another part of the revitalization is the preparation fora possible tram line in the future. Work at the bottom of Wenceslas Square should be completedby the end of 2021.

Mladé parkurové naděje opět v Chuchle Areně
27.7.2022 — Chuchle Arena Praha bude po roce opět hostit prestižní šampionát Mistrovství České republiky v parkurovém skákání dětí a juniorů. Od čtvrtka 28. do neděle 31. července se na chuchelské závodiště sjedou ti nejlepší jezdci a jezdkyně, kteří se na šampionát kvalifikovali. Nebude chybět ani většina loňských medailistů. Mítinku se zúčastní přes 200 koní.

17.4.2020 — Due to the coronavirus crisis, the cultural scene has been forced to move online from theatres, clubs, museums and concert halls. A platform that brings online cultural content together has recently been created. The project, launched on the 12th of April, is called 'Kultura doma'('Culture at Home').

Traffic measures on the Vršovická and Otakarova roads
21.2.2020 — From the 22nd of February 2020, transport measures will be introduced due to ongoing reconstruction works on railway bridges across Vršovická and Otakarova streets for the optimization of Prague Hostivař - Prague Main Railway Station. The transport measures will take place in two stages.

16.1.2018 — In order to commemorate the 100th anniversary from the declaration of the Czechoslovakia and the 25th anniversary from the foundation of the Czech Republic, the Bohemian Crown Jewels will be exhibited in the Vladislav Hall at the Old Royal Palace.
Prague establishes emergency Assistance Centres
20.4.2020 — Assistance Centres ('Asistenční centrum pomoci') will be established in the Municipal Library of Prague in case of emergencies with a large number of casualties and other major crisis situations. It will primarily serve to provide information and assistance to people affected by an emergency, as well as their loved ones.
Camp for homeless people in Troja
11.4.2020 — People experiencing homelessness that may have been infected with Covid-19 will be put into isolation in a temporary camp on Císařský Island in Troja, Prague, from the 9th of April. The capacity of the camp is 20 people, and there are separate areas for men and women, as well as all the necessary facilities. However, the camp will be able to fit up to 40 people if necessary.

21.1.2010 — Osmihodinový humanitární koncert na pomoc postiženému Haiti proběhl dnes na Staroměstském náměstí. Součástí koncertu, kterého se zúčastnil i primátor hlavního města Prahy Pavel Bém spolu s premiérem Janem Fišerem, byla finanční sbírka pro humanitární organizaci Člověk v tísni.
Volunteers help families with children with special needs
10.4.2020 — The number of volunteers who have registered at the Czech Red Cross tents in Mariánské Square continues to increase. A total of 3,164 volunteers had registered by the 8th of April. Prague is now able to expand its offer of help to families who have children with special needs. As services for them are now limited and special schools are closed, the situation is more challenging than before.

20.9.2020 — The Náprstek Museum will host a talk on shamanism with the journalist and photographer Stanislav Krupař on the 23rd of September. The lecture 'The current state of shamanism in Tuva' is a part of the accompanying programme of the current exhibition 'At Home in Siberia'.
Newly updated mobile application PID Lítačka makes travelling easier
9.12.2019 — Passengers in Prague and in the Central Bohemian Region can now travel using just their mobile phone within Prague Integrated Transport, thanks to the new update of PID Lítačka mobile application, which was released on trial operation since Monday, the 2nd of December 2019. This application now allows passengers to convert their purchased long-term coupons and download them to the mobile application.
World Wildlife Day in Prague Zoo
6.3.2020 — World Wildlife Day will be celebrated in Prague Zoo in Troja on Saturday the 7th of March. Although World Wildlife Day is on the 3rd of March, Prague Zoo is celebrating on the closest Saturday - the 7th of March. World Wildlife Day is on the 3rd of March because an important CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) meeting of representatives from 80 countries was held in the US on the 3rd of March 1973.
Prague Zoo during the pandemic
31.3.2020 — Prague Zoo is closed to the public due to the pandemic, but life inside goes on through the zoo's new YouTube channel. According to director Miroslav Bobek, the zoo is functioning without any major issues. Roughly a third of employees are still working, taking care of the animals and basic operations, including curators, breeders, veterinarians, feeders and the maintenance crew. Construction work continues on sites such as the new gorilla pavilion.

Prague City Hall to resume operation with increased health and safety requirements
20.4.2020 — According to the Czech Ministry of Health, regular public office hours can resume in Prague City Hall on Monday, the 20th of April. Strict health and safety requirements will be in place during City Hall's office hours, but electronic communication is still recommended whenever possible.
