10.8.2020 — The 7th annual barrel-organ music festival, 'Flašinet žije', will take place in the historic heart of Prague on the 11th of August. Street artists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia will bring music and energy to three venues in the city centre. The barrel-organ music festival will commence at 10am with a concert in the church of St. Nicholas in the Old Town square. The beautiful baroque church will witness a barrel-organ performance of popular classical music pieces.

12.2.2024 — V úterý 20. února 2024 od 19:30 hodin se v kostele sv. Šimona a Judy uskuteční koncert českého vokálního souboru Cappella Mariana. Ten si na svůj únorový koncert přizval belgický hudební soubor Goeyvaerts String Trio a hráčku na organetto Catalinu Vicens. Koncert, který se koná v rámci cyklu Stará hudba FOK, je věnován památce tragicky zesnulé české muzikoložky a ředitelky Ústavu hudební vědy Filozofické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy Lenky Hlávkové.

22.5.2020 — Prague City Gallery is slowly returning to normal operation after the closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. For example, visitors can admire 'Colorbond', a sculpture exhibition by Jan Kovářík, from mid-May. Troja Château Gardens belong to the most beautiful Baroque gardens in Prague. Art lovers can find many statues, rare decorative terracotta vases, pergolas, a maze and fountains there. Kovářík's sculptures will give the garden's visitors an additional artistic experience during the tourist season.

From the outside, the tram serves as a moving decoration for the streets of Prague, where it will ride through all year round; inside, it promotes various cultural events taking place in Prague. From time to time, events will also take place on the tram, which will be used as a mobile stage for concerts and theatre performances, or simply as a reading place. "Cultural life is finally slowly awakening after coronavirus. I am pleased that we can arrange cultural activities in this innovative way for the people of Prague too", Hana Třeštíková, Prague City Councillor for Culture and Tourism, said.

Special Prague Symphony Orchestra concert in the Municipal House

15.6.2020 — Prague Symphony Orchestra, also known as FOK, which stands for Film Opera Koncert, will hold a special concert in the Municipal House's Smetana Hall. The concert will be the orchestra's first after the coronavirus break and will take place at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, the 23rd of June. The orchestra will be directed by Pietari Inkinen. Sibelius' tone poem 'Finlandia' Op. 26 and Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 in E minor Op. 95 'From the New World' will be on the evening's programme. This is will Inkinen's final concert as chief conductor of FOK, with his typical combination of Finnish and Czech music.
