21.5.2020 — The space near the Great Strahov Stadium is being put to good use, with a brand-new drive-in cinema. With a capacity of 120 cars, it is the largest drive-in cinema in Prague. Apart from film screenings, various cultural events will also take place here during the summer.

For example, the City of Prague Museum is offering online exhibitions and tutorials for children.

29.6.2019 — This year, Prague Botanical Garden in Troja is celebrating its 50th anniversary. As part of the year-long celebrations, a new collection of wine, Cuvée Natalis, and a book about the vineyard, 'Vinice sv. Kláry 365', are now available to visitors.

11.7.2020 — When making your plans for the summer, be sure to include Prague Planetarium on your schedule. You will be able to enjoy new shows and see the stars, as well as virtually visit the surface of Venus, among other places. Prague Planetarium is one of the largest planetariums in the world, and the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic. The main hall, Cosmorama, is 23.5 metres wide and its dome reaches a height of 15 metres, and it seats 210 spectators.

29.6.2020 — Střelecký Island ('Střelecký ostrov' or simply 'Střelák' to the locals) in the heart of Prague not only offers scenic views of Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, and romantic walks in the shade of mature trees, but has also become a place for free outdoor public dancing in recent years. Many dance programmes and workshops take place on a pontoon that has been anchored to the island for several years, offering an additional stage and dance floor. Dancing is a pleasant social activity, as well as a manifestation of emotions. It is an art form, which brings the pleasure of moving to music to everyone, both spectators and dancers, whether they dance alone, in pairs or in groups.

18.4.2014 — Zástupci MHMP pod vedením ředitele odboru bezpečnosti a krizového řízení (BKR) Josefa Juránka během třídenní pracovní cesty seznámili představitele amerického New Yorku se zkušenostmi hlavního města s povodněmi a krizovým řízením během mimořádných situací.

30.6.2005 — Rozhodnutí členů Mezinárodního olympijského výboru na 117. zasedání v Singapuru příští týden může mít zásadní vliv i na uvažovanou kandidaturu Prahy na pořádání her v roce 2016. Šestého července se rozhodne o dějišti letních olympijských her v roce 2012 mezi pěticí kandidátských měst, kterými jsou Paříž, Londýn, Madrid, Moskva a New York.

12.10.2010 — Českomoravský fotbalového svaz podal přihlášku na kandidaturu pro pořadatelství fotbalového Mistrovství Evropy hráčů do 21 let v roce 2013. Uvažuje se o hracích stadionech v Praze (Sparta a Slavia), v Olomouci a v Uherském Hradišti. Na dnešním jednání o tom byla informována Rada hl. m. Prahy.

30.4.2020 — One hundred and thirty animals from over forty species have been born in Prague Zoo since it closed on the 13th of March 2020. With other animals still giving birth, including the rare Malayan tapir, zookeepers are wondering when the public will get to see them.

29.9.2019 — Lunchmeat Festival, an annual international festival dedicated to advanced electronic music and new media art, will take place between the 30th of September and the 5th of October. This year, the tenth annual audio-visual festival will take place in four venues.

11.7.2020 — A new parterre, an ornamental garden, has been created in front of the Šlechta Restaurant following the overall reconstruction of an area in Stromovka where a pond used to be. Stromovka, a former medieval game reserve, is the largest green space in Prague, with an area of 95 hectares.

15.7.2016 — Ode dneška až do neděle bude v Praze probíhat historicky první ročník Mistrovství Evropy hráčů do 21 let v malém fotbalu. Hráče ze všech osmi zúčastněných zemí dnes v Brožíkově sále Staroměstské radnice přivítal náměstek pražské primátorky pro dopravu a sport Petr Dolínek, který připomněl, že malý fotbal je díky populární Hanspaulské lize jedním z pražských fenoménů.

16.6.2015 — 11. Pražský šachový festival pořádaný v partnerství s hl. m. Prahou a ve spolupráci s DDM hl. m. Prahy se bude konat ve dnech 20. až 28. 6. 2015 v prostorách Domu dětí a mládeže Karlínské Spektrum, Karlínské náměstí 7, Praha 8. V rámci festivalu budou sehrány 4 turnaje.

31.1.2019 — The National Museum in Prague has one of the largest paleontological collections in Europe. Now, the collection has expanded with even more specimens. For last year's 200th anniversary, the Museum received a unique gift - a collection of fossils of Tertiary flora and fauna.

30.10.2020 — The districts of Prague 7 and Prague-Troja are connected by a new pedestrian bridge three years after the disastrous collapse of the Troja Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge will serve not only pedestrians, cyclists and people on inline skates, but also the Integrated Rescue System vehicles shall the need arise. The total cost of the construction was 150 million CZK, and the construction took less than one year.

18.6.2007 — Ze čtyř kontinentů se do naší metropole sjeli hráči softballu na světový pohár, který se bude konat ve dnech 18. – 24. června. Vedoucí výprav dnes dopoledne v Brožíkově síni Staroměstské radnice přijal primátor Pavel Bém.

9.11.2012 — Primátor hlavního města Prahy Bohuslav Svoboda (ODS) dnes v Dolních Chabrech odhalil uliční tabule v ulicích pojmenovaných po tragicky zemřelých hokejových reprezentantech Janu Markovi, Karlu Rachůnkovi a Josefu Vašíčkovi. Jejich hokejové kariéry ukončila 7. září 2011 havárie letadla s ruským týmem z Jaroslavle.
