24.6.2016 — Primátorka Adriana Krnáčová dnes odpoledne slavnostně přijala rugbyové hráče All Blacks z Nového Zélandu před jejich exhibičním sobotním utkáním s Českou republikou. Po slavnostním aktu v Brožíkově sále Staroměstské radnice se primátorka s celou delegací přesunula na Staroměstském náměstí. Zde pro veřejnost pobíhala ukázka tradičního bojového tance haka.

31.7.2019 — For twenty-two years, Prague Botanical Garden held an exhibition that visitors could enjoy with all their senses in its exhibition hall. This year, however, is different. A project that enables the appreciation of various aspects of nature for visitors with special needs is spread throughout the whole area of outdoor expositions. We visited these fourteen stops, where you can explore nature not only by sight, but also by smell, touch and hearing.

Both the residents of Prague and visitors to the Czech capital will have the opportunity to see this relatively new form of spatial art on the 1st of January 2020 at 6:15pm, 7:15pm and 8:15pm.

7.6.2019 — From the 7th to the 9th of June, the traditional rowing race 'Pražské primátorky' will take place on the Vltava River with backing by the Mayor of the City of Prague. The most famous event of its kind in Prague, 'Pražské primátorky', was held for the first time in 1910, and has been held every year, with the exception of 1914 to 1918.

8.5.2020 — Selected branches of the Municipal Library of Prague opened to the public on Tuesday the 5th of May. However, health and safety measure must still be followed. Despite the government's decision to allow public libraries to open from the 27th of April, some libraries, such as the Municipal Library of Prague, were surprised by this decision and were not ready to open so soon.

8.4.2020 — On the 12th of March 2020, the Czech government declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic. The emergency was extended until 30 April.

19.1.2010 — The Residence of the Mayor of Prague is located in the new building of the Municipal Library, which was built between the years 1925 and 1928 by Prague Municipal Savings Bank as a gift for the capital city on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its existence and also to mark the 10th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic.

1.7.2016 — Hlavní město Praha hostilo na konci června dvoudenní jednání pracovní skupiny "Barrier-free city for all" sítě měst Eurocities. V Rezidenci primátorky hl. m. Prahy se setkalo 18 zástupců z 15 evropských měst. Praha na setkání pozvala i zástupce těch, kterých se problematika nejvíce dotýká, a to prostřednictvím organizací zastupující v Praze osoby se sníženou schopností pohybu a orientace.

19.2.2018 — The Prague Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice (Výstaviště Holešovice) will come to life on the 24th of February with the traditional fair of St. Matthew. Visitors can look forward to more than 115 different entertainment attractions, an accompanying program and, of course, stalls with typical fair fast food. This year's fair will last until April 15 and is again the first event of its kind in Europe.

21.6.2019 — On the 22nd of June, the third annual 'Le Pavillon Français', will take place at the New Town Hall in Prague 2. Come to taste wines and delicacies, meet winemakers and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the wine festival organised by wine merchant Chez Greg.

As part of the Karlín Family Festival, farmers will offer their products in stalls, children can take part in workshops and the whole family can enjoy musical performances. The Karlín Family Festival is a simple and ideal way to conclude summer in Prague.

14.2.2019 — Lovers of Nordic movies are certainly looking forward to this year's annual festival Nordic Film Winter. Running from the 14th to the 19th of February 2019, the festival will offer 26 movies from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Lithuania. For six of them, it will be their Czech premiere! All films are subtitled in English. The traditional feast Nordic and Baltic film production is coming to Czech and Moravian cinemas for the ninth time, with 22 cinemas from all over the country taking part in the event.

29.1.2019 — Skipark Prague in Vypich, a popular cross-country skiing system with artificial snow, is open to the public from the 25th of January 2019. It is available for free for all cross-country enthusiasts from 8am to 9pm daily, as long as favourable climatic conditions last.

6.2.2019 — The inhabitants of Prague greatly appreciate the declining crime rate in the capital every year. This information is based on a survey requested by Prague City Hall, 'Safety Sensitivity Analysis' (Analýza pocitu bezpečí). The survey's results show that 90% inhabitants feel safe in their neighbourhood.

27.10.2020 — Technická správa komunikací hl. m. Prahy (TSK) announced two public contracts for the restoration of Prague's Libeň Bridge, management of the construction and coordination of the entire project. The aim of the first contract is to select a supplier of the construction works and related design and engineering services. The selection process will be carried out in accordance with the FIDIC - Yellow Book conditions (Design & Build project type). The second public contract aims to find a suitable construction manager and project coordinator.

24.1.2019 — On Friday, the 1st of February 2019, schoolchildren in the Czech Republic will enjoy a school break. As in previous years, children will participate in project Ledová Praha by visiting monuments, museums and other centres of heritage in Prague. Over the long weekend from the 1st to the 3rd of February, families and groups of children will collect their Ledová karta, a free card that grants free or reduced admission to many museums and galleries in Prague, (such as the National Museum, the Jewish Museum in Prague and the Czech Police Museum) and other places of interest (for example, Prague Castle, Strahov Library and Loreta Praha). This year, about thirty historical and cultural centres of heritage are taking part.

12.6.2020 — Czech Railways have prepared nostalgic train rides for the coming weekend, the 13th and 14th of June. The Čtyřkolák steam engine will bring passengers on a historic train journey on a romantic route through the Prokopské Valley and the Prague Semmering.

10.4.2010 — Primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém se včera zúčastnil prvního výročí Hard Rock Cafe Praha. Klub se nachází ve třech patrech historické budovy domu U Rotta na Malém náměstí, a včerejší oslavy 1. výročí od svého vzniku byly vskutku velkolepé. Restaurace pro téměř 400 osob, dva bary, obchod a klub se tak zaplnili oslavujícími návštěvníky.
