17.4.2007 — Rada hlavního města vyslovila souhlas s odkupem pozemků Milíčovského lesa a dalších v jeho sousedství, které jsou doposud v soukromém vlastnictví. Přírodní památka „Milíčovský les a rybníky“ by měla tak získat záruku, že bude dostatečně chráněna a zároveň adekvátně využita pro rekreační funkci. Návrh radního Petra Štěpánka musí ještě schválit městské zastupitelstvo.

15.6.2006 — Hlavní město Praha nesouhlasí se zřízením hraničního přechodu na neveřejném mezinárodním letišti Letňany, jak dnes projednala vláda. Důvody nesouhlasu sdělilo hlavní město před časem Ministerstvu vnitra ČR. Hlavními námitkami je – zvýšení hluku a zvýšení rizika vzniku nebezpečných havárií a ohrožení populace sysla obecného.

21.7.2020 — The Gallery of Art Critics in Prague is holding an exhibition called 'Czech Calligraphy IROHA / HATAI' (in Czech 'Česká kaligrafie IROHA / HATAI') to celebrate 100 years of diplomatic relations and cultural cooperation between the Czech Republic and Japan.

31.5.2020 — Wearing a facemask, respirator or bandana has become a new standard in the Czech Republic due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is mandatory to cover your nose and mouth from the 19th of March, with some exceptions. The Czech Police Museum is creating an original collection of masks to exhibit. Due to a lack of masks and because they are mandatory, some people started to make them at home.

30.7.2020 — Prague City Gallery's Eco-Studio in the Troja Château Orangery is offering summer art workshops to the public that will run during July and August. The eco-studio is an ideal place for art-lovers and creative people to develop their skills and reflect on fine art in the beautiful surroundings of one of Prague's most sought-after tourist attractions. The full-day art workshops, which take place throughout the summer holidays, offer meaningful leisure activities in the form of creative work.

15.10.2019 — From the 16th to the 18th of October, Zelenka Festival Prague - Dresden will feature the work of Baroque genius Jan Dismas Zelenka. The festival venues are the Church of the Virgin Mary under the Chain ('kostel Panny Marie pod řetězem') in the Lesser Town ('Malá Strana') and the Knight Hall of the Grand Priory Palace ('Rytířský sál Velkopřevorského paláce').

8.4.2020 — On the 12th of March 2020, the Czech government declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic. The emergency was extended until 30 April.

8.6.2020 — L'Institut français de Prague (French Institute of Prague) is holding an exhibition called 'Prague etc...' by Czech-French photographer Michael W. Pospíšil until the 4th of July. The exhibition is held at Gallery 35 on Štěpánská Street, part of the French Institute which supports connection between French and Czech art.

10.10.2019 — From the 10th to the 13th of October, 18 light installations - 9 from Czech and 9 from aboard - will be displayed as part of the 7th Signal Festival. Discover the routes of these installations leading through 'Malá Strana' (the Lesser Town), 'Staré Město' (the Old Town) and Karlín.

15.10.2019 — On the 16th of October, the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences will hold an Open Day. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the academy's historic building in Vinohrady in Prague, built in the 1920s by the Czech architect Josef Gočár, and learn about the history of the academy. The open day is part of the academy's 95th anniversary celebrations.

28.12.2019 — The Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague is hosting an exhibition of works by the iconic Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala until the 23rd of January. The exhibition is held in the museum's historical building in the city centre. The exhibition's curators are Uta Laurén and Jan Mergl.

29.6.2019 — This year, Prague Botanical Garden in Troja is celebrating its 50th anniversary. As part of the year-long celebrations, a new collection of wine, Cuvée Natalis, and a book about the vineyard, 'Vinice sv. Kláry 365', are now available to visitors.

Prahy v oblasti přípravy informačních materiálů pro veřejnost s tématem ochrany životního prostředí a poznávání pražské přírody a zeleně byly připraveny aktualizované verze mapových výstupů V Praze za přírodou 2019/2020 a Environmentální vzdělávání, výchova a osvěta v Praze - Místa realizace 2019-2020, které nabízíme v tištěné podobě zejména školám, nestátním neziskovým organizacím a informačním centrům městských částí. Uvedené materiály jsou k dispozici také v elektronické podobě. Tyto výstupy doplňují zejména souhrnné materiály řady Praha životní prostředí.

2.12.2008 — Městská rada dnes projednala návrh aktualizace Strategického plánu hl.m.Prahy, souhlasila s ním a radní Marin Langmajer ho předloží zastupitelstvu hl. m. Prahy ke schválení na prosincovém zasedání.

1.10.2008 — Pražský primátor Pavel Bém společně s radním Petrem Štěpánkem dnes odpoledne slavnostně otevřeli první Dům ochránců přírody. Žádná organizace se dosud nezabývala environmentální osvětou a vzděláváním dospělých a k těmto i dalším účelům má sloužit nově otevřený Dům ochránců přírody.

4.9.2020 — 'Katana Masuri 2020', the Festival of Swords or 'Slavnost mečů' in Czech, takes place in the Czech Police Museum once every three years. This year's fifth festival will take place on the 6th of September and will once again introduce not only the Japanese sword, but also Japanese culture to the public. The event covers a wide range of topics, from Europe to Asia, from the historical Middle Ages to fencing today.

28.1.2014 — 23. ledna byla zahájena výstava Czech Grand Design: Nominace 2013, která bude v Národním technickém muzeu k vidění až do konce března. U příležitosti zahájení výstavy Akademie designu ČR vyhlásila finalisty cen, ze kterých pak 9. března ve Stavovském divadle vzejdou vítězové.

10.3.2019 — Lectures on new discoveries in neuroscience, as well as an accompanying programme that popularises this research, will take place during 'Týden mozku' (The Week of Brain), from the 11th to the 17th of March 2019.

18.6.2019 — On the 19th of June, Czech Philharmonic's open-air concert will take place in the breath-taking atmosphere of Prague's Hradčanské Square. The concert is one of the most attractive events of the music season.

5.8.2024 — Od 8. do 11. srpna 2024 se na celkem 13 místech v Praze uskuteční florbalový turnaj Czech Open, jehož historie sahá do roku 1993.

10.8.2020 — The 7th annual barrel-organ music festival, 'Flašinet žije', will take place in the historic heart of Prague on the 11th of August. Street artists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia will bring music and energy to three venues in the city centre. The barrel-organ music festival will commence at 10am with a concert in the church of St. Nicholas in the Old Town square. The beautiful baroque church will witness a barrel-organ performance of popular classical music pieces.

14.1.2019 — Until the end of February, you can visit an exhibition about the history of 'Czecho-Slovakian' music in Popmuseum, a museum and archive of popular music. The country of Czechoslovakia existed under different names from the Declaration of Independence on the 28th October 1918 to its peaceful dissolution on the 1st of January 1993. However, the music scenes of the two countries stayed closely linked even after the common republic ceased to exist and that is why the exhibition rightly celebrates the hundred years of this 'musical relationship' of Czech and Slovaks. A permanent exhibition is located in the Cultural Centre Kaštan in Břevnov, featuring musical instruments, particularly electric guitars of Czechoslovak production and selected keyboard instruments used in former Czechoslovakia. Furthermore, there is an archive of sheet music and recordings that is available to researchers.

Tak by se dal charakterizovat projekt, který pro fanoušky připravila Fotbalová asociace České republiky a generální partner Hyundai Motor Czech za dvoumilionové podpory hlavního města Prahy. V areálu Žlutých lázní je jediný oficiální prostor s možností sledování většiny utkání EURO 2016. Hyundai Czech Fan Park nabízí nejen jednotlivé duely, ale také hudební produkci, atrakce a mnoho další zábavy pro návštěvníky všech věkových kategorií. Navíc se vstupem zdarma.

5.8.2019 — The international floorball tournament Czech Open 2019 will take place in thirteen halls across Prague from the 8th to the 11th of August. The tournament is not only for elite world teams, but also for amateur and junior teams. The 28th international floorball tournament is considered one of the largest and most prestigious in the world. The biggest stars regularly come to Prague for this event.

Obsahuje informace o náležitostech projektů, povinných přílohách a dalších podmínkách, jež musí žadatel splnit, aby mohl čerpat dotace. Její součástí je i metodika pro vypracování některých povinných příloh pro ekonomické hodnocení.

16.2.2019 — On the 23rd of February 2019, the Czech Republic Guides Association will offer free guided tours to celebrate the International Tourist Guide Day. The International Tourist Guide Day is held annually on the 21st of February since 1985. Because the 21st is a Thursday, tour guides in most places decided to give free guided tours on Friday the 22nd or Saturday the 23rd of February. The event will take place throughout the Czech Republic. In Prague, tourists will have a choice between two guided tours.

29.4.2019 — On the 30th of April 2019, the 33rd annual festival 'Mezinárodní týdny tance' (International Dance Weeks) will culminate in the Hybernia Theatre. For the first time, artists from all three Czech National Theatres will meet on one stage!

23.10.2020 — Prague Symphony Orchestra (FOK) will perform Smetana's 'Má vlast' ('My Country') in Obecní dům (Municipal House) for Independent Czechoslovak State Day on the 28th of October. There will be no audience, but the concert will be streamed via the Prague Symphony Orchestra's YouTube channel so it can be seen live all over the world.
