30.3.2009 — V čase 1:35:58 doběhl v sobotu Hervis ½ Maraton radní hl. m. Prahy Petr Štěpánek. Hervis ½ Maraton Praha, který měří 21,097 km, byl pro roky 2008 i 2009 oceněn prestižní známkou IAAF Road Race Silver Label. Startuje se přímo v centru Prahy a každý rok přiláká více běžců z České republiky i z celého světa. Tuto sportovní akci podporuje již tradičně také primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém.

25.3.2010 — Primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém bude mezi osmi a půl tisíci běžci, kteří se v sobotu 27. března postaví na start již tradičního závodu Hervis ½ Maraton Praha. Dnes se zúčastnil tiskové konference u příležitosti zahájení dalšího ročníku tohoto závodu a zároveň si přebral své běžecké číslo. Počet půlmaratonců každoročně narůstá. V roce 1999 začínali organizátoři s devíti sty běžci, loni jich bylo téměř pět a půl tisíce a letos již o tři tisíce víc. Závodu se zúčastní běžci téměř 80ti národností ze 68 zemí světa.

The DAFilms.cz website, which offers many interesting films and documentaries, is the fruit of the creative cooperation between 7 key European documentary film festivals associated in the Doc Alliance. The aim of the project is to push the boundaries of documentary film, to promote its diversity and to promote quality original films.

1.12.2008 — Dnes krátce před polednem proběhla na Vyšehradě za účasti radního hl. m. Prahy Petra Štěpánka slavnostní výsadba Stromu míru, které se zúčastnili zástupci různých duchovních tradic a další představitelé politického a kulturního života. Na Vyšehradě byla při této příležitosti vysazena lípa, která je považována za český národní strom.

1.2.2010 — V Rezidenci primátora hl. m. Prahy se včera konal Galavečer u příležitosti 50. mistrovství České republiky dospělých v badmintonu. Jménem primátora Pavla Béma přivítala hosty slavnostního večera jeho náměstkyně Marie Kousalíková.

3.2.2009 — Rada hlavního města na svém včerejším čtvrtém zasedání schválila návrh primátora Pavla Béma na přidělení finančních prostředků ve výši 650 000 korun na partnerství hl. města Prahy při pořádání sportovních akcí v roce 2009.

9.9.2022 — V podzimním čísle našeho časopisu se věnujeme především světové události v oblasti ekologické výchovy. Praha totiž v březnu 2022 hostila 11. mezinárodní kongres ekologické výchovy, neboli World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC 2022). Najdete zde však i mnohem více.

20.10.2009 — Rada hlavního města Prahy dnes přijala návrh na poskytnutí finančních prostředků ve výši 5 700 tis. Kč žadatelům o partnerství hlavního města Prahy v oblasti kultury a volného času v roce 2009. Finanční dotace v jednotlivých případech nepřevyšuje částku 2 mil. Kč.

23.3.2018 — Hlavní město se v sobotu 24. března 2018 připojí k akci Hodina Země. V jejím rámci lidé, firmy i města dávají symbolickým společným zhasnutím najevo, že vědí o problému globálního oteplování a že ho také chtějí aktivně řešit. Letos se zhasnou i vybrané pražské památky od 20.30 do 21.30 hodin. Magistrát hl. m. Prahy nechá po tuto dobu vypnuto osvětlení Petřínské rozhledny, Státní opery, Obecního domu, Nové radnice, věže na Staroměstském náměstí, Prašné brány a Kongresového centra.

21.9.2010 — /Zpráva z 33. jednání Rady hl. m. Prahy 21. 9. 2010/Rada hl. m. Prahy dnes schválila poskytnutí finančních prostředků pěti žadatelům v celkové částce 3 600 000 Kč. Tato podpora se vztahuje na rok 2010 v rámci vypisovaných Partnerství hl. m. Prahy v oblasti cestovního ruchu a příspěvek v jednotlivých případech nepřevyšuje částku 2 mil. Kč. Výbor pro ochranu památek a cestovní ruch doporučil finanční podporu vybraným projektům na svém zasedání 1. 7. 2010.

28.4.2020 — The 29th of April has been the International Dance Day since 1982. The traditional meeting of dancers and dance fans usually takes place on Střelecký Island, where the event has a wide fan base. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's annual competition will be broadcast online from several locations in Prague. Nevertheless, the event will still connect the Czech dance scene with the public.

15.11.2024 — Stavba Definitivního uzávěru plavebního kanálu Troja vstoupila do své druhé fáze, při které je nutné uzavření a vypuštění plavebního kanálu.

28.4.2022 — Už čtvrt století pořádá RunCzech maratonské běhy v Praze. Díky tomu se česká metropole v kvalitě závodů a oblibě mezi lidmi dostala mezi deset nejlepších měst světa v rámci běhání. Před blížícím se Volkswagen Maratonem Praha, který se koná už v neděli 8. května, promluvili o propojení akce s městem a jeho ekonomických, sociálních a environmentálních dopadech pořadatelé závodu a radní hl. m. Prahy Vít Šimral.

19.7.2011 — V zájmu podpory kongresového cestovního ruchu v Praze bylo dnes pro účastníky kongresu schváleno Radou hl. m. Prahy jízdné zdarma na území hlavního města. Výše kongresového jízdného bylo stanoveno na 55 korun na den, což odpovídá polovině ceny 24hodinové jízdenky v ceně 110 Kč.

15.1.2008 — Hlavní město uvolní 230 tisíc na partnerství Prahy při pořádání sportovních akcí konaných v roce 2008, rozhodli o tom na dnešním jednání pražští radní. Město vyhovělo podpoře 4 projektů, mezi nimiž nechybí ani tradiční vyhlášení nejlepších handicapovaných sportovců roku.

25.5.2010 — Staroměstské náměstí a velká zasedací síň Nové radnice dnes patří zdravotním sestrám. Až do deseti hodin večer tu probíhá druhý ročník festivalu Sestrafest.

23.6.2009 — Rada hlavního města Prahy schválila přidělení finančních prostředků v celkové výši 3 990 000 korun na podporu sportovních akcí v roce 2009. Hlavní město Praha na tyto akce přispívá a podporuje je v rámci partnerství při jejich pořádání.

25.5.2010 — Staroměstské náměstí a velká zasedací síň Nové radnice dnes patří zdravotním sestrám. Až do deseti hodin večer tu probíhá druhý ročník festivalu Sestrafest.

11.7.2007 — Dnešní módní přehlídka na Václavském náměstí Na Můstku byla vyvrcholením módního turné sluchově postižených účastnic 7. ročníku Miss Deaf Word 2007 po osmi městech České republiky. Za hlavní město Prahu se akce zúčastnili radní hlavního města Prahy Jiří Janeček a Milan Pešák.

28.12.2019 — The Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague is hosting an exhibition of works by the iconic Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala until the 23rd of January. The exhibition is held in the museum's historical building in the city centre. The exhibition's curators are Uta Laurén and Jan Mergl.

11.7.2020 — When making your plans for the summer, be sure to include Prague Planetarium on your schedule. You will be able to enjoy new shows and see the stars, as well as virtually visit the surface of Venus, among other places. Prague Planetarium is one of the largest planetariums in the world, and the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic. The main hall, Cosmorama, is 23.5 metres wide and its dome reaches a height of 15 metres, and it seats 210 spectators.

7.8.2019 — The International festival Letní Letná will bring the magical world of new circus in its various forms to Prague for the sixteenth time. The festival will take place from the 14th of August to the 1st of September.

9.1.2020 — Explore the St. Petersburg Museum of Art and its three million artworks with the documentary 'Hermitage: The Power of Art'. The film will be screened on the 11th, the 12th, the 14th, and the 17th of January in the Světozor Cinema, as part of the 'Umění v kině' ('Art in Cinema') series.

30.6.2019 — As part of its hundredth anniversary celebrations, the National Technical Museum is offering reductions on admission prices on Thursday, the 5th of July. The museum is the largest Czech institution that specialises in technical collections, and it was founded on the 5th of July 1908 as the Technical Museum of the Bohemian Kingdom. Currently, its collections are in 14 permanent exhibitions and a number of temporary exhibitions.

4.12.2019 — From the 5th to the 8th of December, Lucerna and Ponrepo cinemas in Prague will offer audiences a large selection of Asian action films full of martial arts during the new annual Filmasia festival. The festival is entering its fifteenth season this year. It has brought great Asian films to Prague since 2005.

19.1.2019 — Podkarpatská Rus (Carpathian Ruthenia), an exhibition of photos by Bohumil Vavrouška, will be open in the Josef Sudek Gallery, a branch of the Prague Museum of Decorative Arts, until 27th January 2019.

Since March 16, Czech government declared ban on traveling abroad and entry of foreigners into the Czech Republic from all around the world. The measures are in effect until further notice. 2.5.2019 — Velká Chuchle Racecourse in Prague has prepared an attractive novelty for its visitors. After a few decades, show jumping is making its comeback here. The first event will take place on Friday, the 3rd of May, and admission is free!

19.5.2010 — Hlavní město Praha ve spolupráci se Zoo Praha uspořádá 22. května charitativní akci Běh pro gorily. Závod odstartuje na Hradčanském náměstí ve 13.00 hodin a zakončen bude na Staroměstském náměstí. Je na závodnících samotných, jak rychle trasu absolvují a jak kreativní kostým si obléknou. Od pořadatelů dostanou jen gorilí obličejovou masku. Převlek není podmínkou, ale je vítán.
