VÁCLAV JÍRA: Machines II.

The exhibition of Václav Jíra will present his remarkable kinetic machines, which consist of various elements recycled from various objects. Jíra combined those components in new and surprising ways, creating works that when switched on are set in motion, sometimes comical, sometimes absurd, and sometimes lyrically playful.

Even though the main floors of the Modern Art wing will be closed we will have several works from this collection displayed in the “Stables building”. On view will be our classic Nepraš stature “Family” also exhibited will be “Figures” by Abakanowicz, other artists will include Načeradský, Píštěk, Šimotová.
