Buy vegetables from takeaway windows in the Prague Market
After the closure of the popular vegetable market in Hall 22 of the Prague Market due to the coronavirus pandemic measures, the authorities have allowed fresh produce to be sold safely through takeaway windows.
Greengrocers and farmers who are worried about selling this year’s harvest welcome this opportunity. Those interested can make their order now and collection will start after Easter.
You can find contact information for the retailers selling their produce from Hall 22 on Prague Market’s website. Customers can contact the retailers directly, order and prepay for their goods, and arrange a day and time of collection from the takeout windows. There are two takeout windows, one at the pedestrian entrance and the other at the car park entrance, and they will be divided according to purchase size.
The initiative complies with strict health and safety guidelines. Customers must keep a distance of 2 metres and wear the obligatory face masks.
Fruit, vegetables and other goods are already available to order on the Prague Market website, and purchases will be available for collection from Tuesday the 14th of April.
