Prague Castle Grape Harvest
This year’s grape harvest will take place In the Royal Garden of the Prague Castle, on the weekend of September 16th and 17th, 2017. This traditional event is this year associated with the famous Slovenian architect Josip Plečnik whom in the 1920s and 30s modified the Prague Castle. This year we mark the 145th anniversary of his birth and 60th anniversary of his death.
Visitors of the harvest can look forward to the tasting of wines and foods from sunny Slovenia. In addition to the tasting of the Slovenian wines, which experts designate as little-known winegrowing jewels, visitors can enjoy music performed by several Moravian ensembles and the Slovenian folk ensemble Gozdar.
Apart from the specialties from the south of Central Europe, fresh grape juice just pressed on the replica of the historical hand press and a true Moravian burčák will be available to taste. Children's program has also been prepared for both days.
