Romani and Balkan rhythms in Campus Hybernská
On Thursday, the 30th of July, the Trio Romano will perform a concert in Campus Hybernská's garden. The band, which focuses on the classical Romani repertoire and other music styles, will certainly make the audience dance.
As part of the series of summer open-air concerts in Campus Hybernská in Prague, the organisers will introduce a Romani band with international influences. The musicians have been playing together for ten years, since the band’s formation in Prague.
Three great musicians
Balkan and Czech, as well as Romani, musicians have played in the band in the past. They influenced the Trio Romani’s repertoire, which is the reason why to this day, the band also plays traditional Balkan hits from the former Yugoslavia.
Unique Romani music
Trio Romano has wider repertoire than many Romani bands. Apart from Romani and Balkan songs, they also play music in the style of the Gipsy Kings. Their music is influenced by flamenco, csárdás, traditional Slovak music and French swing.
Audiences describe the band’s live concerts as having lots of energy, a unique sound and a great atmosphere, and you will definitely feel their lively rhythms on the 30th of July in Campus Hybernská.
