The traditional Street Food Festival is coming soon
Winter has passed, spring is in the air, and the streets are waking up. On Sunday, the 14th of April 2019, the next season of Street Food Festival begins at the Cross Club in Holešovice.
It will bring new trends, various surprises and fun activities for children. Food festivals have been very popular lately and now they are absolutely booming. Street Food Festival is held twice a year and is always visited by up to 10,000 visitors.
Proven quality
There will be a simple and exciting range of food on offer. An important aspect of the festival is that the food is prepared on site in front of you, without using any precooked items. The emphasis on quality and variety is assured and well tested by the event organisers. This time, amateurs as well as professionals will take part in Street Food Festival, preparing food alongside each other, because small, start-up projects also deserve support.
What will be on offer?
All lovers of good food will find something to eat at the festival, and there will also be meals for vegetarians and vegans. There will be all kinds of flavours on offer, including sweet, savoury, bitter, spicy and mild foods. There will be classic street food like fries, croquettes, hotdogs, sausages and ribs prepared in innovative ways. However, you can also look forward to new trends such as poke, various kinds of bowls, rolled ice cream and chimichanga. You can also look forward to various rolls, pizza, sandwiches, toast, seafood, waffles, cheese, potatoes, tacos, galettes, sushi and grilled meat… Of course, there will be no shortage of fantastic coffee and other delicious drinks at the festival.
‘La škola’ for kids
Apart from good food, children can also enjoy visiting ‘La škola’, a music school which has prepared an unconventional and inspiring programme. The music teachers use innovative teaching techniques based on musical images.
Eco-friendly festival
In order to keep the place tidy, and the festival environmentally-friendly, you are encouraged to bring your own dishes, cups and utensils. Running water for washing-up will be available. However, the ideal street food does not need any dishes, since it is usually for take away and eaten on the spot. Weather permitting; the atmosphere will be as unforgettable as always.
