Visit Prague Zoo for the animals and the books!
Prague Zoo offers visitors the opportunity to use the local library. This option is not only open to experts and researchers, but also to the general public.
The zoo library was founded in the 1970s and offers books and science journals in Czech and other languages, mostly English, German and French. You can enjoy reading all kinds of encyclopaedias, scientific literature as well as non-fiction, periodicals, and other publications.
Books can be read in the reading room or loaned out
Books and magazines can not only be read in the library’s study room, but also taken out on loan, except for valuable and irreplaceable titles. There are two computers with internet access available in the study room and a copy machine where you can copy pages from books.
If you are looking for literature on zoology in general or for some more specific areas, Prague Zoo library, located near the main entrance, is at your disposal.
And of course, you can also use the computers with free Wi-Fi, which are available in several locations.
