Providing Guiding Services in the Czech Republic

Only individuals who hold the Czech National Tour Guide Card are permitted to work as guides. The Cards are issued by the Ministry of Regional Development upon application. Guides are obliged to keep the Card in a visible place on their clothing at all times while guiding in the Czech Republic. There are two types of the Czech National Tour Guide Card: Degree I and Degree II. It is a public document certifying that the guide meets the conditions under Act No. 159/1999 Coll.

Auspices of the mayor

Patronage of the Mayor of the City of Prague Prague can be provided to events whose objectives are in line with the interests of the city or significantly contribute to the development or increase of the city's prestige. This patronage may also be provided for a longer-term events.

New rules for street artistic production - valid starting 15 October 2019

On 19 September 2019, Prague City Assembly approved Resolution No. 9/117 amending City of Prague Decree No. 1/2016 Coll., on restrictive measures to protect local public order in connection with the operation of public street artistic production in public places (busking).

The Prague Convention Bureau is the official convention bureau of the city of Prague which was established in 2008. Its mission is to strengthen the positive awareness of the city of Prague as a convention and incentive destination, to increase revenue and stimulate economic growth for the community.
